Strawberries

Do you have any idea on the health benefits of strawberry? Aside from being delicious, it also comes with various nutritional advantages. For example, strawberries are found to contain vitamins A, B and C, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, carbohydrates and calories as well.
However, it does not stop there. The delectable fruit has also been found to contain high levels of folic acid. Folic acid is often found in the milk that pregnant women drink because it helps in reducing, if not preventing, birth defects, especially those that involve the brain.
For those having problems with their oral health, the strawberry can also help remedy those issues. The fruit may be cut in half and then rubbed on to the gums and teeth. Tartar can be removed in the process, as long as the juice stays on the teeth long enough to dissolve them. It could even help whiten teeth if used three times each week. Gums are also healed and strengthened through it.

Did you actually know that the strawberry is one of the antioxidant fruits? Its antioxidant properties protect the cells and prevent oxygen damage in the organs. It also contains certain compounds that make it a heart-protective fruit as well as an anti-cancer and an anti-inflammatory one.

Although we may not hear it as often but strawberries are actually recommended for people with high blood pressure, constipation, rheumatism, gout or skin cancer. The fruit is great as a cleansing food, whether used to remove toxins in the blood or to cleanse the skin externally.
