School is back and to make sure that your kids get their daily dose of nutrition, healthy snacks with fruit are great add-ons to their brown bag lunches.
Often, parents include an apple or a banana inside packed lunches for snacks however, kids might not like having the same fruit everyday as snacks. This could make them prefer potato chips snacks over fruity snacks.
To keep your kids looking forward to their lunches and snack treats, why not try to mix it up? Here are a few ideas:
1. All natural chips. These are chips that are made from dried fruit or vegetables. They can come with added flavors. You can purchase healthy fruit snacks online if there’s none available to you.
2. Mixed nuts and fruit. Grab some raisins, cashew nuts, peanuts, dried berries and some chocolate candies. Place them in a Ziplock that your child can munch and share with friends.
3. Fun-shaped sandwiches. Make use of your cookie cutters and cut sandwiches into different shapes and sizes. You can even get colored bread and try out new cheeses and other spreads.
