Founded in 1874 by Edwin Hardy, Brookdale began its humble roots with a purpose of only sustaining Hardy’s family needs. Today, it is now a recipient of the Ag-Earth Partnership Millenium Farm/Ranch Family award and uses Integrated Pest Management on its crops to ensure quality produce with as little impact to the environment as possible.
From apples, berries, nectarines, peaches and plums to irrigation and row crop supplies, Brookdale Fruit Farm has a wide array of products you can choose from. The farm stand won “The Best Organic Farm Stand” in New Hampshire Magazine’s Best of 2009 issue.
As a Pick Your Own fruit farm, Brookdale offers the following schedule for picking:
- Strawberries- Middle of June to Early July
- Cherries- End of June to Early July
- Blueberries, raspberries & blackberries- Middle of July to August
- Apples, pumpkins & raspberries- Early September to Middle of October
