Fruit Farms

The season for picking has begun and from June to December. You can harvest strawberries, flowers, vegetables, berries, peaches, pears and even Christmas trees.

Blazerfarmz is small privately held company out of Amity, Missouri with property and ties in northwestern Missouri, northeastern Pennsylvania, and Long Island, New York.

Aside from its citrus fruit line, Hale Groves offers seasonal fresh fruits like cherries, mangoes, peaches and kiwi.

As for the peaches, there are three varieties of white peaches, donut peaches and yellow peaches. All of them are available for U-pick.

The Ibachs planted 386 vines in 2007. More vines were added to the initial grapevines and for 2009, there were 1409 Marquette vines on the Black Squirrel Vineyard.

Jaswell’s Farm also offers educational tours. The tours are geared towards the theme on the importance of farming (No Farmers = No Food).
