Some of the common antioxidant fruits would be the acai berry, banana, apple, kiwi, aronia berry, blueberry, passion fruit, cherry, and many more. But for now, let’s just focus on the cherry.

A Cherry Fact: There are over 1,000 types of cherries and they are mainly categorized into two types: the sweet and the sour.

Cherries are great sources of vitamins and minerals. They contain fiber, potassium, vitamin C, antioxidants, amygdalin, and melatonin. They are also rich in magnesium, iron, folate, and lots of anthocyanins.

The sweet cherries are:

  • Rainier
  • Van

Cherries are usually taken up raw and are one of the most delicious fruits that can make a great healthy snack. Others add them up as a magical ingredient on their favorite cherry recipes. However you plan to use them, these cherries can definitely make you healthy in a “win-win” situation.
