Durian Fruit for Anti-Anxiety
The Durian possesses a strong unpleasant smell and unique different taste. It is believed to perk up one’s energy and has aphrodisiac properties. It is best eaten within 24 hours when broken in halves. The most famous variety comes from Thailand and is called Thai Mon Thong durian, currently being exported in many parts of the globe.
The Durian contains a considerable amount of Vitamins C, A and B6. It produces Thiamin, Niacin, Riboflavin and Pantothenic acid, including minerals such as Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron Fe, Phosphorous, Manganese, Copper and Zinc. It also has carbohydrate, protein, lipid, water and fiber. All these healthy nutrients can be found in just one fruit as per studies conducted by the US Department of Agriculture.
More than those nutrients, the durian is also high in antioxidants found in organosulfur compounds and tryptophan. With these present, the durian is the fruit to eat when you want to beat migraines, PMS, depression and other anxiety disorders.
The Durian has always been known for its foul and reeking odor especially when the fruit is ripe for the picking. However, the durian when ripen just falls to the ground and you need just follow its strong aroma filling the air to harvest them.
