Fruits and Vegetables Rich in Antioxidants

Antioxidants play an important role in the body – they have the potential to neutralize free radicals without becoming a free radical themselves. Antioxidants also enhance the immune system and lower the risk of cancer and block the body from getting severe as well as viral infections.

There are lots of fruits rich in antioxidants but the top ones on the list are: prunes, blueberries, cherries, acai berries and acerola cherries.

Fresh Fruits

Purple and red grapes are rich in resveratrol which is one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants that protects the body against harmful environmental stresses. Other fruits that are rich in resveratrol would be the dark berries, peanuts, grape juice, berry juices, and pistachio nuts.
