When it comes to nourishing ones’s skin, the papaya is the fruit on top of anybody’s list. Dubbed to be your skin’s best friend, this yellow-orange succulent fruit has nutrients that can make your skin soft, smooth and supple.

The papaya comes from the genus Carica and can be found growing in tropical countries like in Asia and South America. Papayas have high nutritional value in terms of fiber, potassium, beta-carotene, calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and B-Complex.

When it comes to skin problems, many people turn to the healing qualities of the papaya. If you suffer from acne, age spots, rough skin, enlarged pores, sunspots and wrinkles, the papaya might be the answer to them. You can use slices of the papaya diluted in vinegar and place it on your face like a mask. Results may not be immediate but there will definitely be an improvement.

The papaya is also known to have whitening properties. So for those of you who want to become more fair, try a papaya slush on your skin. Sweet and delicious, the papaya is a fruit your skin will love to eat.
