Located at 4410 North Lincoln Avenue, Champaign, Illinois, USA, the Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery is a cheese farm as well as a fruit picking farm. The Nubian and La Mancha goats wander about the 10-acre grazing area of the 52-acre farm.
From the goats and fruit trees, Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery sells fresh chuvre, rind goat cheeses, tomme-style cheese and seasonal cheeses. There are also sheep cheeses, milk cheese and mixed cheeses.
You pick strawberries, raspberries, red and black currants are available at the farm. There are also gooseberries, peaches, apples and cherries. U-pick hours are from 5pm to 8pm only.
Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery also offer farm dinners. These are special events hosted by the farm, featuring celebrated chefs and diverse menu.
