The Whittier fruit farm welcomes school tours to help educate children about farming and agriculture in a fun way

My great, great grandfather, Peter Hirsch, bought the first piece of property here on February 29, 1872. Family tradition has it that my great grandfather, John Hirsch, started growing peaches about 1890 and the orchard expanded from there.

Weiser Farms began its operations of growing fruit trees like pears, apples and peaches. Eventually, it grew to include flowers and vegetables.

Martin’s Family Fruit Farm takes the saying, “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away” to a new level of nutritious goodness.

Their range of fruit varies from strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples and peaches to vegetables and other fruit product derivatives like jams, jellies and butter.
