With so much of our fruit shopping done in supermarkets nowadays, it’s pretty difficult to imagine what it’s like to get to pick your own …

There are many Fun Farm activities you can try. The Storybook Forest is a place where you can meet favorite fairytale characters.

The Farm Market at MacQueen Orchards offers freshly baked goodies like peach and cherry pies, coffee cakes, cookies, pumpkin bread, sugar and frosted donuts, apple dumplings and more.

The season for picking has begun and from June to December. You can harvest strawberries, flowers, vegetables, berries, peaches, pears and even Christmas trees.

As for the peaches, there are three varieties of white peaches, donut peaches and yellow peaches. All of them are available for U-pick.

Jaswell’s Farm also offers educational tours. The tours are geared towards the theme on the importance of farming (No Farmers = No Food).
