If you’re someone who needs a little extra push to get out there and get fit, check out Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead. You can watch it for free. I first saw the movie about a year ago and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve changed my diet to include juicing twice a day, one citrus and one green drink or green smoothie, and the I’ve aligned the rest of my diet with what Dr. Fuhrman from the video recommends. He advises individuals to include the following in their daily diet:
- 1/2 cup of beans or more
- 3 fruits (try to go for some fruits rich with antioxidants!)
- 1 Tbsp. of ground Chia/Flaxseed
- 1 large green salad
- 1 large double serving of steamed green vegetables
- mushrooms and onions
Keep in mind that these are supposed to be eaten daily according to the doctor. I’ve noticed a sigantioxidant-fruits.comficant improvement in myself in the last year alone. Due to my obsession with superfoods and having cut back about 80% on consumption of dairy and meat, I’ve lost 30 lbs. Weight loss isn’t the only reason to eat healthy though; proper dieting can reduce signs of aging and the risk of diabetes while boosting your immune system. During my last physical, my cholesterol, A1C, and blood pressure levels were all very healthy. It has taken a full 14 months to get this way since watching the video, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I changed one thing at a time when readjusting my diet, starting with removing sugar from it and eating more vegetables. With such a gradual overall change, it’s more likely that I will stick to it and the effects will be longer-lasting.
What a 14 months it’s been! I truly recommend watching Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead because as you can see, it really helped me out. The movie is both entertaining and educational. Joe Cross, the overweight man who is the focus of the movie, is absolutely hilarious.
So what’s the next step for me? I want to set up my own garden so I can grow organic vegetables and eat them fresh. Although there is still snow on the ground, I’ve got the tiller and some 8′ poles positioned to string the deer barrier. Bring on the warm weather, and I’m all set.
